19. Capernaum.
Looking north. Showing the elevated site of the city which is now all in ruins. After the Saviour had been rejected by his townsmen at Nazareth, "He came and dwelt at Nazarth," which was thence called "His own city." Here He wrought the most of His mighty works. "And thou Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven."
